Certified dark skies

50 National Park System units certified as International Dark Sky Places

DarkSky International certifies places that protect the night sky and keep their lighting in check. These are the National Park System units on that register. Certification speaks to the sky over the unit, not to a given overlook or campsite; moon phase and weather decide what you see on the night. The campgrounds inside or near certified places are on Campsite Atlas, and tonight's cloud cover over every certified place is on Publicopia Labs.
